2027 Cruise Lite 24RKXL

The 2027 Forest River Salem Cruise Lite 24RKXL travel trailer at Couch’s RV Nation puts a Custom King bed up front. The kitchen fills the back wall. It is a factory-order floorplan, so you can build and price it online before it is built. It sleeps 6 and has a single slide-out in the middle of the coach.

If you’ve been searching for a couples travel trailer, the 24RKXL deserves a close look. Two people get a real bedroom, a full bath and a roomy kitchen. The sofa and the booth dinette give overnight guests a place to sleep, so visiting grandkids and weekend guests have a spot too. That makes it an easy pick on any list of RVs for two with a king bed.

Walk it from the nose back. The King bed sits against the front wall with a wardrobe and shelves on each side. Pass-thru storage runs along both sides of the bed. A closet sits behind the bed on the curb side, followed by the full bath with its shower on the curb wall. A booth dinette follows on the curb wall. Across the aisle, the roadside slide holds a sofa, with a pantry alcove at the back end of the slide.

The kitchen wraps the rear corner. The sink sits in the roadside-rear corner, the range and microwave run down the rear wall, and the refrigerator fills the curb-rear corner. The entry door opens on the curb side near the back, so groceries have a short trip from the steps to the fridge. Overall width is 96 inches.

The Best In Class Value Package carries most of the comfort. A tankless water heater keeps the hot water coming, and the extra-large 12-volt refrigerator holds weekend groceries. A convection microwave, panoramic picture windows and a push-button power awning with evening lighting round out the camp setup. Power tongue and stabilizer jacks make hitching and setup easier, and a rinse-off outside shower waits by the door. Stow N Go storage hides under the dinette. Cooling comes from a 15,000 BTU ducted air conditioner. It is a budget-friendly camper without feeling bare-bones.

This Cruise Lite sits on real plywood floors that are ductless and ventless for pets, under a solid walk-on roof. Anyone searching for an RV with an enclosed underbelly will find one here, listed by the factory as extended-season.

Is the 24RKXL a good fit for a couple’s weekend? Yes. The King bed, full bath and rear kitchen give two people everything they need for a Friday to Sunday trip. The pass-thru storage holds chairs and gear. How many people can it sleep, and where? Six: the King bed sleeps two, and the sofa and the booth dinette each sleep two more.
