2027 Salem 32BHDS

The 2027 Forest River Salem 32BHDS travel trailer at Couch’s RV Nation is built for families, with a rear bunk room for the kids. A Custom King bed waits up front, and two slide-outs widen the living area and the bunk room. An outdoor kitchen sits on the curb side near the back. It is a floorplan that gives every person a spot of their own.

If you plan on family camping weekends at the lake or the state park, this layout fits right in. Parents get a private bedroom at the front, and the kids get their own space at the opposite end. If you’re shopping for a camper with a bunkhouse, that separation is the point: lights-out in the bunk room doesn’t end the evening up front. Inside, you get an upscale interior in the Eclipse decor. Versa Furniture and the Stow N Go Storage Solution come from the Best In Class Value Package.

Start at the front. The Custom King bed sits in the nose under overhead cabinets, with wardrobes and shelves on both sides. Pass-through storage opens to the outside on both sides. An entertainment center with a fireplace hangs on the bedroom wall, facing the living area. The main entry door opens on the curb side by the kitchen. The kitchen runs along that wall with an L-shaped counter and sink, a cooktop, a microwave, a refrigerator, a pantry and overhead cabinets. Across from it, the roadside slide holds a dinette and a sofa. Behind the kitchen sits the full bath, with a shower, toilet and sink. A second exterior door opens right into the bath, handy after the beach or the pool.

The rear bunk room is where this layout earns its name. Just outside its door, a coffee bar with overhead cabinets faces the hall. Inside, the roadside slide holds a Versa Queen Flip Sofa with a hinged flip-up upper bunk above it. The curb side adds a second bunk beside storage cube cubbies. How many people can the 32BHDS sleep, and where? Count the Custom King, the two bunks, the Versa Queen Flip Sofa, the sofa and the dinette. Together, the 32BHDS sleeps 12, which is room for the whole family plus a friend or two.

Outside, the rear curb side has an outdoor kitchen with a sink and an outside fridge. If you’ve been looking for an RV with an outdoor kitchen, this one saves trips through the main door. Drinks stay cold and dishes get rinsed right outside. From the Best In Class Value Package, the Flush Floor Slide-Out w/Marine Grade Flooring keeps the floor level when the slides are out. Exterior Accent Lighting and LED Blade Lighting under the awning light up the campsite at night. This build also carries the 15,000 BTU air conditioner upgrade and 50A electrical service with wire and brace for a second air conditioner. Underneath, a heated, enclosed underbelly that protects the tanks and lines helps when trips stretch into cooler weeks.

This travel trailer measures 36 feet 5 inches long, 96 inches wide and 11 feet 5 inches tall. Dry weight is 8,198 lbs with a hitch weight of 960 lbs, and cargo capacity is 1,621 lbs. Tanks hold 40 gallons of fresh water, 57 gallons of gray and 30 gallons of black. That gray capacity helps with showers and dishes on a family trip. Check your tow vehicle’s ratings, including payload, against the dry weight plus everything you load.

Does the 32BHDS feel like home on long stays? For a week at a campground with hookups, yes. The kitchen has a pantry and a refrigerator, and the living area faces a fireplace. The front bedroom keeps its own wardrobes, so nobody lives out of a duffel bag.
