2027 Cruise Lite 273QBXL

Sleeping 14 sounds like a lot, but the 2027 Forest River Salem Cruise Lite 273QBXL travel trailer at Couch’s RV Nation is built for it. A King bed anchors the front bedroom. A folding bunk over a Jiffy sofa and a set of bunk beds fill the back. Because it is a factory order, you can configure it with our online build-and-price tool first.

People who ask which camper is best for a big family usually count beds first. Fourteen berths leave room for cousins and friends. Shoppers who want an affordable bunkhouse layout will find the package list generous. The plan keeps a real kitchen and a full bath behind the entry door. It works for a weekend away and can stretch into a week at the lake.

Start at the nose. The Custom King bed takes that end, with wardrobes, shelves and pass-thru storage around it. A bulkhead with a swing door separates it from the rest of the coach, and a fireplace entertainment center faces the living area. The single roadside slide-out carries a booth dinette and a sofa, with a shelf behind the sofa.

The curb side near the front holds the entry door. Aft of the entry door, the kitchen is an L along the curb wall. The sink block comes first, followed by the range, microwave and fridge. Next comes the bath, with its shower, toilet and vanity. Past that, bunk beds run along the rear curb wall. The plan labels a camp kitchen on that wall for cooking outside, away from the heat and smells indoors.

Across the rear wall, a folding bunk bed rides above a Jiffy sofa. The roadside aisle at the back also holds a pantry and an entertainment center wardrobe. That stacks extra beds into the back without giving up the living area.

Add the berths up. The King bed, the dinette and the sofa sleep two apiece. The folding bunk and the Jiffy sofa below it add two each, and the bunk beds add two mats, which sleep four. That is 14 berths in all.

The Best In Class Value Package starts with the Never-Ending Hot Water tankless water heater, which matters when a crowd needs showers. The extra-large 12-volt refrigerator and the bake-and-roast convection microwave handle the cooking. Panoramic picture windows, wide entry steps and a push-button power awning with evening lighting round out the setup. Power tongue and stabilizer jacks, a full-size spare tire and a rinse-off-ready outside shower are included too. A 15,000 BTU ducted air conditioner cools everyone. This Cruise Lite also gets plywood floors and an enclosed underbelly labeled extended-season.

Will young kids do well in the 273QBXL? Yes. Kids get the Jiffy sofa, the folding bunk and the bunk beds at the back, and the King bed sits at the far end.

How much does the 273QBXL weigh? Dry weight is the empty unit as it leaves the factory, before water, propane and gear, and here it is 5,975 lbs. Cargo capacity is 1,705 lbs, and hitch weight is 680 lbs. The unit is 33 feet 3 inches long, 96 inches wide and 10 feet 4 inches tall. Tanks hold 44 gallons fresh and 30 each for gray and black. Pairing it with a half-ton works only if the truck is properly rated for it. Your truck’s door-jamb payload sticker is the place to start before you tow any trailer.
