2027 Cruise Lite 25RLXL

Buying your first RV is easier when the layout is simple. The 2027 Forest River Salem Cruise Lite 25RLXL travel trailer at Couch’s RV Nation keeps it that way. It has a King bed up front, a bath in the middle and a sofa across the back wall. One slide-out opens the dinette, and it sleeps 6.

The 25RLXL is a comfortable place to start. First-time owners usually want a bedroom that feels like a bedroom and a kitchen they can cook in. This plan delivers both without extra rooms to learn. If you are comparing a beginner travel trailer against bigger bunkhouse layouts, notice how few moving parts this floorplan has. Since it is ordered from the factory, you can build and price it online first.

Start at the foot of the bed. The Custom King sits against the nose with wardrobes and shelves on both sides, and pass-thru storage runs along each side. Behind the bed on the roadside you find a closet and then the full bath, with the shower on the roadside wall. The booth dinette lives in the roadside slide-out. The entry door opens on the curb side, with the awning above and a pantry angled beside the door.

The galley kitchen fills the rear half of the curb wall. You get the refrigerator, range and a sink with cabinets overhead, and there is no island to walk around. A sofa spans the rear wall, so the back of the coach becomes the living room and the dinette becomes the dining room.

Tanks hold 40 gallons of fresh water, 60 gallons of gray and 30 gallons of black. That gives you room for a weekend away from hookups, though how far it stretches depends on how you use water and power. Inside, the Best In Class Value Package brings panoramic picture windows, a convection microwave, an extra-large 12-volt refrigerator and a tankless water heater. Hideaway Stow N Go storage sits under the booth dinette. A 15,000 BTU ducted air conditioner cools the coach, and 50 amp service comes wired and braced for a second one. The underbelly is enclosed and labeled extended-season by the factory.

Here is what the numbers mean. Dry weight is the empty trailer as it leaves the factory, before water, propane and gear, and on this model it is 5,363 lbs. Cargo capacity is 2,000 lbs. Hitch weight, the downward push on your truck’s hitch, is 565 lbs. This Cruise Lite measures 28 feet 8 inches long, 96 inches wide and 10 feet 5 inches tall. A dry weight of 5,363 lbs keeps it on the lighter side, so shoppers hunting for a lightweight camper often add it to the list. The 25RLXL is towable with a properly rated half-ton. Every truck is different, so compare your own tow and payload ratings to these numbers first, along with the gear you plan to load.

Is the 25RLXL a good value for someone new to RVing? It is. You get a King bed, a full bath, a real kitchen and sleeping for 6 in a plan that is easy to learn. Shoppers asking which travel trailer gives the most for the money should count the included package items first. It gives you more for your money, in a plan that stays simple.
